A lovely family in Chelmsford, Essex, is seeking a dedicated and versatile individual to join our household as a Live-In Housekeeper/Nanny. This role will primarily involve housekeeping duties, with approximately 20% of the time spent providing nanny services. Job offers a self-contained 2-bedroom cottage for accommodation, conveniently located approximately 100 yards from the main house.

Key Responsibilities:

Housekeeping:

• Perform general housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors.
• Launder clothing and linens, including washing, ironing, and changing bedsheets.
• Clean and sanitise bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and tubs.
• Maintain cleanliness of windows and other surfaces inside the house.
• Assist with food shopping and meal preparation as needed.
• Ensure the overall tidiness and organisation of the home.

• Nanny Duties (20%):
• Drive children to and from school as required
• Provide occasional babysitting for the baby and other children as needed
•  Assist with the care and supervision of the children, ensuring their safety and well-being
• Support the running of the home by helping with various tasks as requested.

Additional Details:

• The main house consists of 5 bedrooms and accommodates two adults and a baby that is due at the end of October).
• Additionally, there will be three older children (aged 16, 12, and 8) who will stay in the house 3-4 nights per week.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in housekeeping and childcare.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to cook nutritious meals for the family.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and responsibilities.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the family’s privacy.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
