Forbes Private Staff is seeking an experienced Private Residence Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of a high-level private residence in Doha.

This is a senior management appointment requiring a capable and discreet professional who can maintain exceptional household and service standards. The successful candidate will oversee the housekeeping, butler and culinary departments, ensuring that the residence operates smoothly and is presented to an excellent standard at all times.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation and presentation of the residence
• Manage the housekeeping, butler, domestic service and culinary teams
• Coordinate staff schedules, training and performance
• Maintain consistently high standards of service for the principal family and guests
• Oversee food and beverage operations, including menu planning and service delivery
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, dietary, allergen and halal requirements
• Manage household inventories, purchasing and supplier relationships
• Monitor departmental budgets and control operating costs
• Carry out regular residence inspections and respond promptly to service requirements
• Support the smooth delivery of formal and informal family and guest occasions

Candidate requirements

• Substantial experience managing a high-level private residence, royal household or comparable five-star hospitality operation
• Strong leadership and household team-management experience
• Excellent knowledge of luxury service and residence presentation standards
• Experience overseeing housekeeping, butler and food and beverage operations
• Good understanding of budgets, procurement and stock control
• Knowledge of food hygiene, dietary, allergen and halal requirements
• Highly organised, discreet and confident in a demanding private environment
• Professional communication skills and a calm, solutions-focused approach
• Previous experience in Qatar or the wider Gulf region would be advantageous but is not essential
• Willingness to relocate to Doha
