A busy family based in Barnes is seeking an experienced, warm and highly organised Nanny/Housekeeper to help care for their three children, aged 7, 6 and 2, and support the smooth day-to-day running of their home.

This is a genuinely combined position and would suit someone who enjoys both childcare and hands-on housekeeping. The family is looking for a kind and engaging person who is confident with children, takes pride in maintaining a beautifully clean and organised home, and notices what needs to be done without always requiring direction.

The role

The Nanny/Housekeeper’s responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the children with their daily routines
• School and nursery runs
• Organising age-appropriate activities and providing general care
• Helping with bath time and evening routines
• Preparing fresh, healthy and nutritious meals for the children
• Assisting with some family food preparation
• Keeping the home clean, tidy and well organised
• Laundry, ironing and changing bed linen
• Organising the children’s bedrooms, play areas, wardrobes and cupboards
• Tidying and resetting the home while the children are at school and nursery
• Keeping track of school bags, uniforms, activities and the children’s belongings
• Assisting with general household organisation and ensuring the home runs smoothly

Candidate requirements

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience in a similar Nanny/Housekeeper position
• Genuinely enjoy both childcare and housekeeping
• Be warm, kind and engaging with children
• Be energetic, proactive and able to use their initiative
• Have excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
• Be confident preparing fresh and nutritious meals
• Have excellent, checkable references
• Hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check
• Hold a valid paediatric first-aid certificate
• Have the right to work in the UK

Position details

Location: Barnes, London, SW13
Children: Three children aged 7, 6 and 2
Schedule: Monday to Friday, approximately 8.00 am–5.00 pm
Additional hours: Some flexibility and occasional Saturday support may be required; details to be agreed
Start date: Early October 2026
Salary: TBC, Negotiable, depending on experience
