A family residing in Hampstead, London is seeking a full time, live-in French speaking nanny/governess for the care and education of their three children B8, G5 and B4.

The working schedule is from Monday at 6.30 am – Friday at 7.30pm. Live – in accommodation is provided during your working days, however, on the weekends you should have your own accommodation as they have a weekend nanny during those days. All three children attend school therefore once the children are at school from 8.15 am until pick up the nanny/governess will be free to carry out her own activities, unless the children are on school holidays or from time to time if they are ill and not attending school. Occasionally during these hours some assistance might be required cleaning or tidying the playroom or assisting with the children’s wardrobe. Whilst the nanny should be available for 24 hour cover, the children are in a good routine, sleep well and attend school during the week.

The family, under usual circumstances travel frequently worldwide, therefore a candidate that enjoys travel and is happy to travel at short notice is preferred. The main duties are to assist with getting the children ready for school in the mornings, picking them up from school, ensuring they get to any after school activities, completing homework tasks and planning and implementing age appropriate activities both educational and play in French to teach them language through immersion.

This is a fully staffed household and it is essential that the successful candidate is a team player and likes working alongside other staff and the mother as this is very much a shared role and team effort to ensure the household runs well. A driver is preferred and will have access to an automatic car to drive whilst on duty. The ideal candidate will be kind, caring, active, knowledgeable, educated nanny/governess and understand the different milestones for different age group as well as show initiative. A firm but fair approach is preferred with regards to discipline and someone that gains the children’s trust and respect. At least three years experience working with school aged children is preferred.
